Check-in

I arrived at the hotel around 11am and since my room was not yet ready, I decided to leave my luggage to keep in the luggage room and come back later in the afternoon. I returned to the hotel at 5:30pm and was helped by Jaime, a friendly associate who asked if I needed two keys. I was informed of the breakfast times and was given 2 bottles of mineral water and wifi instructions. A 50USD deposit was also asked. The best part of it all of course was that I'd been upgraded to a Junior Suite on the 18th floor as a Diamond member 👍 Thanks so much guys!

Room entrance

When I opened the door, the first thing that greeted me was a beautiful living room with a work desk and a wall mounted TV. It's not really very spacious but considering how precious space is in NYC, I'd say it is perfect for a junior suite.

Wifi is complimentary for Diamond members although there is also an "Enhanced High Speed" if you need faster connection for a fee.

Cuisinart double-cup coffeemaker with Lavazza Italian coffee 👍

My sister borrowed my iphone charger and forgot to return it but thanks to this, I was able to charge my mobile 😍

Wall mounted TV

There's also this product where you get a 30 minute trial of AireSpa 👍 This is actually the first time I've seen it in a hotel room and for those who really have the need of it, it's definitely going to be very useful 😉

Located in the corner of the bedroom is a mirror and a 3-drawer chest

In the other corner is a wardrobe with a safe, hangers, iron, ironing board and luggage rack.

Opposite the bedroom is the bathroom with Crabtree & Evelyn's Verbena and Lavender toiletries.

Walk-in shower with a shower seat 👍

The suite featured views of New York's tall buildings 😉

Exploring the Area

As the hotel's name suggests, it is a few minutes walk from the Grand Central Station 😍

The hotel is also close to Tudor City.

CONCLUSION

I always appreciate when hotels recognize their elite members and give them room upgrades, in my case I got an upgrade to one of their Junior Suites 👍 The room was actually very nice although the design is not the most modern I've seen. I also missed the slippers and vanity items like cotton earbuds, etc. but considering that this is New York, I realize how expensive it would be for them to be including such items in their rooms. The breakfast buffet had an extensive offering and my sister especially loved their hot chocolate 😋 Lastly, the staff I had contact with were all very friendly. Overall, we really had an amazing stay in this hotel and would highly recommend it to everyone.
