Hotel Lobby & Front Desk

The lobby was simply gorgeous and reminded me somehow of the lobby in Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila 😉

There's also live music being played 😍

Radisson BLU Cebu reception

Oops, it looks like Emirates has found their home in this hotel 😉

We arrived at the hotel before 2pm and were offered some welcome drinks (four seasons) which was very refreshing. Upon presentation of our booking, we were told that we would be doing our check-in the business lounge on the 20th floor as we had booked a business class room and were escorted by one of the associates to the elevators.

Elevators & Hallway

Twin Business Class Room, 1905

Twin bed

The beds were a bit on the smaller side in my opinion although I guess Filipinos wouldn't have an issue with it 😉

In the corner of the room is a work desk and to the left of it is the coffee and tea making facility.

Nespresso machine, complimentary bottles of water

Then, there's the minibar below.

There's also a medium sized sofa and a table by the window.

Samsung wall mounted TV

Bathrobes and slippers

The bath amenities were provided by "This Works". I'm not really a fan of it so I hope Radisson changes it to something better 😉 There's also two more bottles of mineral water here 👍

Hair dryer

Walk-in shower

thisworks shower gel, shampoo and conditioner

thisworks bath soap

Wifi is complimentary in the room and throughout the hotel.

From our room, we had the view of the city (to the right is Cebu International Port).

Orientation map

We had our late lunch in the nearby SM City and we got back to our room, we found this welcome amenity consisting of tasty desserts 😋

Business Class Lounge, 20th Floor (6am to 11pm)

Seating, main lounge

We were informed by the associate in the Business Class Lounge of the dress code (no shorts and flip flops) and that if ever we would like to come otherwise, then we would have to use the smaller part of the lounge located to the left of the reception. (Above picture) I actually find this rule a good one 👍

Meeting room

The use of the boardroom and meeting room is complimentary for those staying in the business class rooms (maximum 2 hours).

There is also a small business center located in the smaller part of the lounge.

Selection of alcoholic drinks

I really liked the fact that the food offering was extensive including Indian and Japanese choices, which is enough for a good dinner 👍 The fact that they write the ingredients on every food item is very helpful for those who have allergy. As soon as we were seated, we were asked for our drinks order. I did not see any Iced Tea from the drinks list but asked for it anyway. The staff told me she'd check if it was available and came moments later to confirm it. It took awhile before it was served since I'm guessing that they don't normally serve Iced Teas and that the staff just didn't want to say no to my request. That's the kind of service you'd expect from a 5 star hotel 👍

Morning Newspaper

In the morning, newspapers were available.

Breakfast Restaurant, Feria (6am to 10:30am)

Feria Restaurant entrance

The Sinulog Festival, one of the most popular festivals in the Philippines just concluded a few days before our stay so a decor was still displayed in the fruits section of the buffet 😍

Here are some of the pictures from the buffet:

Egg station

Bircher muesli, assorted yogurt

Cereals, dried fruits and nuts

Bread, pastries

Cheese and cold cuts

Halal corner and Indian food

Dried squid 😋

Sausage, boiled potato, sauteed vegetables

Dim sum

Stuffed bittermelon, steamed beef brisket

Ice cream, anyone 😋 (they had vanilla ice cream and blackberry ice cream)

Sikwate, the Cebuano version of hot chocolate is never to be missed when in Cebu 😋

There's also a big salad bar in the center of the restaurant where you can make your own salad 👍

Hotel Amenities

Outdoor pool, ground level (6am to 10pm)

Health Club, lower ground level (6am to 11pm)

Spa Esc, ground level (9am to 10pm)

Business Center, 2nd floor (9am to 5pm)

The Lobby Bar

There are also a few other bars and restaurants inside the hotel, as you'd expect from a five star hotel.

Having stayed at the Marco Polo Plaza Cebu and the Costabella Tropical Beach Hotel during our previous visits to Cebu, I thought we'd book the Radisson BLU Cebu as I've read a lot of good reviews about it. Well, these reviews are definitely true 😍 As you enter the hotel, you'll notice the grand lobby (which is really big and gorgeous) and a guy playing a musical instrument. I thought the hotel amenities (pool, health club, etc) are truly five-stars. Our room was spacious and even if it was not that modern, it offered everything we needed. In the Executive Lounge, there were plenty to choose from during the evening cocktail, and the fact the the staff went out of her way to serve me the iced tea that was not on the drinks list was just impressive 😍 If you are looking for one of the best breakfast buffets here in Cebu, then you'll definitely find it at their Feria Restaurant. The food offering was extensive and of high quality, and the staff were very friendly. As for the hotel's location, being a few steps away from the SM City is a big plus, and taking a taxi to get around the city is not that expensive either.

Overall, we were glad we booked a one night stay in this hotel before our flight to Camiguin since we really enjoyed our stay here and we'll definitely come back in the future 😍
