Trip to New Zealand & Flying with the King of Sweden on my 100th Flight in Business Class

Earlier this month, I was able to explore New Zealand, thanks to Singelresor. We flew with Emirates to Christchurch where we explored the South Island; then took the ferry boat to North Island and after visiting Wellington, Rotorua and Auckland, flew back home. As I had enough Emirates Skywards miles, I decided to upgrade my flight from Dubai to Stockholm in Business Class where I also had the chance to see King Gustav of Sweden as he was seated in front of me! I've flown 99 times in business class prior to this flight so this flight was actually my 100th time to fly in business class. Here are some reviews of the hotels we stayed at, as well as the top attractions we visited while in New Zealand, the land of the Kiwis!

CONCLUSION

Earlier this month, I together with the Singelresor group stayed at the Ibis Hotel in Christchurch for one night. The group check-in went quickly and was very efficient, thanks to Brooke, the friendly receptionist on duty that day. I was informed that free wifi was only available in the reception area although from my room on the third floor, I could still use it with no problem which was a great thing. Of course, the business center had 4 PCs for surfing the internet. I loved the fact that the room had a nice view of Hereford Street and the flatscreen tv had Sky Channels. Also, the scent of the shampoo and shower gel reminded me of the perfume Tatiana which had a flowery scent and which I liked. The individually packed milk in the fridge was something new for me although it was a normal thing for the hotels in New Zealand as I would later find out. Well, I guess the fresh cow's milk is one of the things New Zealand is famous for! The breakfast buffet offered very good choices as well. Overall, the Ibis Hotel is a nice hotel and for a 3-star hotel, this is highly recommended.
