Boarding

Boarding started around 16:55 at gate 31D although the aircraft was on a remote stand so we had to take a bus. It was actually a bit windy and luckily I had my jacket with me. The boarding process went smoothly even though the cabin was full with all 22 seats taken. The cabin attendant greeted me upon boarding and also offered to hang my jacket.

Seat, 1A

Spacious legroom as I was seated in 1A.

Afterwards, newspapers were offered as well as the menu and drinks list.

Menu

Marinated Salmon & Pickled Cucumber, Egg

Poached cod with nut butter cream, Cauliflower, black salsify and peas flavored with tarragon and dill

Banoffee

Drinks

Nicolas Feuilatte Brut Grande Reserve
Beau Rivage Premium AC Bordeaux Premium
Blason Timberlay Bordeaux Blanc Sauvignon

Selection of juices and softdrinks

Cointreau, Baileys Irish Cream, Campari, Calvados Berneroy, Koskenkorva Vodka, Bacardi rum, etc.

Finnair Marimekko during taxi

View a few minutes after take off. Take off was actually 15 minutes delayed.

The service started with hot towels, some biscuits and then followed by the drinks. I had a glass of blueberry juice and a glass of water which were served on the beautiful Finnish Iittala glasses.

The meal which tasted very good was consisted of:

Marinated salmon and pickled cucumber, egg

Poached cod with nut butter cream, cauliflower, black salsify and peas flavored with tarragon and dill

Banofee

After enjoying my delicious meal, coffee and tea were offered but I declined. I then decided to watch "Just for Laugh gags" from the screen.

Toilet & Lavatory

Upon entering the lavatory, I noticed that there were some towels. This was actually the first time I've seen them in the lavatory on Finnair European flights which I think is a good sign.

CONCLUSION

Another great flight on Finnair, I have to say. The food tasted very good and that the service was friendly. The personal screen was missing but the cabin screens were not that bad considering that the flight was just a couple of hours long. Overall, a nice flight 😉
