CONCLUSION

There were a few hotels we were looking at prior to our one night stay in Ljubljana. The Best Western Premier Hotel Slon became the perfect choice as it is in the heart of the city and a few steps away from the top attractions, while the Radisson BLU Plaza Hotel Ljubljana and Four Points by Sheraton Ljubljana Mons (although offering rates of under 100 Euro per night) were both located a bit far from the Old Town. We arrived at the hotel around 3:15pm and I was welcomed as a Platinum member by Tomislav. He informed us that the hotel was full and that they couldn't give us an upgrade, which was okay for us. The room we got was on the 4th floor with a not so nice view of the Bank of Slovenia 😉  The furniture would also need some upgrade but I'm surprised that they are using L'Occitane bath products which is one of my favorites 👍 The welcome amenity of fruit platter was also a big plus. The breakfast buffet had an extensive offering and the sparkling wine was also very good according to Mike 😉

Overall, the hotel is a nice hotel and is perfect for a one night stay in exploring Ljubljana as it is just steps away from the Old Town. On the other hand, the rooms are not that modern and for the price we paid, we probably would have chosen the Radisson Blu Hotel if we were staying for two nights or more. To all the staff of Best Western Premier Hotel Slon, "Hvala" 😍
