Review: Hilton Tallinn Park

Trip to Vilnius, Lithuania and Tallinn, Estonia

A couple of weeks ago, I was traveling again and this time, I visited two Baltic cities namely, Vilnius and Tallinn. It was my first time to visit Vilnius and I was really glad to have visited this beautiful city as they have a very nice Old Town with lots of interesting sights to visit. Since I have gold status with Club Carlson, I booked my first night at the Radisson BLU Hotel Lietuva which is famous for its Skybar and my second night at the Radisson BLU Royal Astorija Hotel which is located in the heart of the Old Town and where famous dignitaries like the King of Sweden and ex US President Bush have stayed in the past. Although I've been to Tallinn a few years ago, it was only for a few hours as we were on a cruise that time. This time, I stayed for two nights, staying at the Park Inn by Radisson Central Tallinn on my first night and at the newly opened Hilton Tallinn Park for my second night where I was given an upgrade to a one bedroom suite 😍 I flew with SAS and LOT in economy class during this trip but since I have Star Alliance gold status, I had access to the SAS Gold Lounge in Copenhagen Kastrup Airport, the IDW Esperanza Resort Lounge in Vilnius Airport and the Business Lounge in Tallinn Airport. It was just a short trip since I had to be back in Stockholm for work but I definitely enjoyed every minute of it and hopefully, I will be back again soon 😉

CONCLUSION

Arriving in the hotel around 2:45pm, I was welcomed by Ivo, a friendly bellboy working that afternoon and as a Diamond member, I asked if I could go to the Executive Lounge to do my check-in there. He immediately said yes and escorted me to the lounge (and even offered to help me with my rollaboard but I declined). The Executive Lounge is located on the 11th floor and as soon as Katrina, the friendly guest service agent on duty became available, I was immediately accommodated. She welcomed me as a Hilton Diamond member and informed that I was upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite. Yes!!! Thanks Katrina 👍 She also informed me about the timings of the lounge and the breakfast and that I could either have my breakfast in the lounge or in the restaurant. She also asked for a 1 day deposit thru my Visa card (and which was released after four days). The Executive Lounge is very nice with modern design and boasts fantastic views including a bit of the Old Town. During happy hour, they had a very good selection of canapes and warm food including the chicken teriyaki skewer which I loved 😋 Returning to my room in the evening, I was surprised to find out that the housekeeping did a turn down service which was a very nice gesture 👍 The food in the breakfast buffet was extensive and had all I could ask for, and more. I got to taste the muru bread which is a typical Estonian rye bread as well as the barley porridge with smoked bacon which is a traditional food in Estonia. The staff both in the Executive Lounge and in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful, specially Piia who was very enthusiastic and very proud of their hotel. I was also able to visit the pool and the sauna which was gorgeous. The location of the hotel may not be perfect as it is not very close to the Old Town but for those who love walking (like me) it is less than 15 minutes walk from the hotel. Overall, I enjoyed everything about my stay in this newly opened hotel (it opened in June this year) and with its fantastic staff, beautiful rooms and modern facilities, I would definitely stay here again when I'm back in Tallinn. To all the staff of Hilton Tallinn Park, "Aitäh!" 🙇
