In May 2015, I was able to visit Switzerland for the second time and this time, I was traveling together with Mike. My first visit was actually in November 2005 where I stayed for a few months in Leukerbad working as a caregiver. Since then, I have never been back to Switzerland so visiting Zurich for the first time was a dream come true. We only had a few hours to explore the city as we had a connecting flight to Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania the following day. Nevertheless, in case you are planning a trip to Zurich, here are some of my traveltips.

Zurich Hauptbahnhof or Zurich HB is the largest railway station in Switzerland

Church of Our Lady (Fraumunster) is made more noticeable with its elegant blue spire.

Frauenbad, as the name says, is for ladies only.

The beautiful Lake Zurich with its very clean water. The weather was actually perfect during our visit and we could just imagine how beautiful it is during summer.

The Zurich Opera House which opened in 1891.

Sechseläutenplatz is the largest town square in the city.

Grossmunster or "Great Minster" is a Protestant church and is one of the four major churches in Zurich.

Limmatquai, the street along the right side of River Limat

A stroll in the Old Town

Enjoying Swiss food: Living with a Swiss family in 2005, I enjoyed several dinners where  Raclette and Fondue were served.

St. Peter's Church is the oldest church in Zurich, with the church's clockface being the largest church clockface in Europe.
