CONCLUSION

The KLM Crown Lounge 25 Schengen is actually a nice and big lounge specially after the new section (located on the right side) was added. I liked the modern design of the lounge with several small seating sections to choose from. The alcoholic selection from the bar are probably in par with other lounges offering. The snack selections included chips, nuts and biscuits while from the hot buffet, they had vegetable soup, meatballs (chicken), boiled eggs and white rice. From the cold buffet, they had russian salad and salmon salad among others. Although the food selection was okay, I still think this is not as good as what the lounges in Asia offer like the Thai Airways Royal Silk Lounge in Bangkok, the Singapore Airlines Silver Kris Lounge in Singapore and the Cathay Pacific The Wing Lounge in Hongkong. Of course, most lounges in Europe aren't really great when it comes to catering so I can't blame KLM for that. There are 4 shower rooms and during my visit, I was able to book one without any wait which was a big plus. There is also a smoking room inside the lounge for those who need it. There are no tarmac views from the lounge but there is the Panorama Terrace in the airport which is the best place to visit if you are after seeing airplanes. Overall, this is a nice lounge and worth visiting if you are departing or connecting at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
