CONCLUSION
Last week, I was in New York with the Singelresor group and we stayed at the Holiday Inn Midtown West for 3 nights. I have to say that I really loved the location of the hotel as it is just a few minutes away from Times Square which is where most of us went during our spare time. Of course, other tourist attractions are nearby including the United Nations Headquarters, the Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum etc. The room was spacious enough and the bed was also very comfortable with 4 pillows which reminded me that I was indeed in the USA. The breakfast buffet had an extensive offering including sausages, bacon, eggs, pancakes, fruits, donuts and cereals. I was actually impressed with the breakfast buffet and really enjoyed everything specially the sausages. I was not able to make use of the fitness center but having such facility for the guests is great. The outdoor pool was closed for the season during our stay but this is definitely a big plus during the summer season. The staff were very friendly both in the restaurant and the concierge. If there is one thing I thought they could improve on, it is to remind their housekeeping staff not to change the towels everyday. They do have a note in the bathroom reminding us to hang the towels if we choose to use it again, otherwise we could leave them on the floor. During our stay, we have hanged our towels every morning and still we get new towels everyday. As a frequent traveler, I stay in a lot of hotels each year and I really make sure that I use only one towel during my stay as I do at home, unless there is really a need to change them. Overall, this hotel is indeed a very nice hotel with great location and great breakfast buffet and which I would highly recommend to everyone.
