CONCLUSION

Arriving in the hotel around 3pm, we were checked in by Cris, a young gentleman from the Philippines. I was welcomed as a Hilton HHonors gold member and was informed that although they normally give room upgrade to status members, it wouldn't be possible this time as the hotel was full. We eventually got a standard twin room on the 7th floor which was more or less what we booked for. In addition, we were given access to the Executive Lounge which I thought were only given to guests booking Executive or Suite bedrooms. The food and drinks selection in the Executive Lounge were impressive and the lounge staff were exceptional always making sure that everything was okay during our stay. Of course, the lounge boasts of a nice view of the city. During breakfast, we opted to go to the main breakfast restaurant since the Executive Lounge only serve light breakfast. Although this hotel is not located in the city center, the complimentary bus card (which is good for 4 persons) makes access to the city attractions very easy. I was really glad we stayed in this hotel because we definitely enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it to everyone. To Hilton Reykjavik Nordica, takk!
