Summer Trip Flying EVA Air Business Class on 777 & Hello Kitty Jet, Singapore Airlines Suites & Cathay Pacific First Class

Last summer, I travelled to the Philippines for the 70th birthday celebration of my father. It was a very short visit since I needed to be back home for work. I've always wanted to try EVA Air's Hello Kitty Jet so I booked my flight from Stockholm to Fukuoka using Avianca Lifemiles. From Fukuoka, I flew on a budget carrier to Tokyo, and from Tokyo I flew on Singapore Airlines Suites to Singapore, and then first class to Manila using my Kris Flyer Miles. On my way back to Stockholm, I flew on Cathay Pacific First Class and Finnair Business Class using my AA Advantage Miles. This trip allowed me to test EVA Air Hello Kitty, Singapore Suites and Cathay Pacific First Class all for the first time and I couldn't be more satisfied.

CONCLUSION

Since my flight from Taipei on EVA Air's Hello Kitty arrived at Fukuoka International Airport around 11:20am, I was already at the hotel by 1:30 in the afternoon. As I made my way to the reception, a hotel staff asked if I was checking in and informed me to wait as the check in time was 2pm. I politely asked if it was possible to have an early check in as I presented my Hilton HHonors gold card. Fortunately, my room was ready and Ide the receptionist helped me with the check in process. He confirmed that I was upgraded to one of their Executive Rooms. Cool! Arigato Ide! I was also given the opening hours for the Executive Lounge and was told that the entrance to the pool and stone bath was not complimentary. It would have been nice to try their pool and stone bath but I thought I would just explore the city since I was only staying overnight. Elena, the young girl from Russia was on duty when I arrived at the Executive Lounge on the 33rd floor. She was so friendly and we actually had a small chat about how the beaches here are not crowded during summer which is due to the fact that Japanese don't love to tan themselves and that rainy season is actually not over until the end of July. The food and drinks during the afternoon tea were great although I was not able to check it again during the Cocktail Hour (6-8pm) as I was busy exploring the city. The morning after, a newspaper (The Japan News) was waiting for me outside my room. Needless to say, I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel: with the friendliest staff, a beautiful room and a great view of the Dome. To Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk, Arigato for making my one night stay in Fukuoka a great one 😊
