We arrived at the hotel around 4:30pm and was helped by Stjepan, one of the friendly receptionists working that day. He welcomed me as a Diamond member and informed that we were upgraded to an Executive Room with sea view. I had originally booked an executive room so getting this upgrade was really appreciated. Moments later, Martina, the duty manager came to personally welcome me. I had exchanged emails with her one week before this stay as she wanted to know if we had special needs for our stay. It was actually the second time that a duty manager welcomes me personally (the first one was during my stay at Hilton Prague) but this is the first time that I was escorted up to my room and shown the room features. Martina told me she wanted to make sure that I would love the room with the sea view. True enough, it was the best room I have ever stayed at!

Waking up to this beautiful view of the Old town is simply unbeatable!

We also got a printed copy of Dagens Nyheter (a Swedish newspaper) the following morning which was impressive.

Right after having breakfast, we returned to our room and were surprised to find that the room had already been serviced. It was very professional.

On our second day, we got another special treat in the afternoon.

Moments after the special treat, a gentleman (perhaps the Room Service manager) came to give me a birthday cake and a card, as the hotel knew it was my birthday. The upgrade to a room with seaview was already more than enough but obviously, it didn't stop there as they also made a birthday cake for me. Thanks so much, guys!

There was also a turndown service where we got Bajader chocolates.

Just outside the room is an ice dispenser machine.

Breakfast Buffet Restaurant (Restaurant Porat)

The breakfast buffet had the normal eggs, bacon, cereals, fruits, etc. but one thing that I really loved was that they had rice, roast salmon and miso soup which reminded me of the breakfast we had at the Westin Miyako Kyoto last year. Trully impressive!

Another thing I have seen for the first time at a Hilton Hotel was a sparkling wine (they had Bakarska Vodica from Croatia).

A local food was also on the buffet which was "breaded artichoke".

The fruit of the month was banana so there was a special section of sweet products made from banana!

The hotel also has a big terrace although it was still cold so we stayed inside for our breakfast.

Nevertheless, we could still enjoy a fantastic view of the Old Town Walls from where we were seated!

International newspapers as well as printed copy of The Times.

A short video I took during our stay with the best view of the Old Town and Adriatic Sea from our private balcony.

CONCLUSION

I know I've said it a lot of times (because the view of the Old Town and City Hall from Hilton Stockholm Slussen and the view of the Fisherman's Bastion and Danube River from Hilton Budapest were no doubt the best room views I've had) but the view of the Old Town and the Adriatic Sea from our room is simply unbeatable. The room upgrade we got was so much appreciated and the food and drinks both from the executive lounge and the main restaurant was really impressive. Martina, the duty manager personally welcoming me and showing me around up to my room, as well as Paula from the executive lounge were two exceptional women and were among those who made our stay in this hotel so memorable. The excellent location of the hotel, which is about two minutes walk to the Old Town makes it a very easy choice for those wanting to explore Dubrovnik. Words are not enough to describe how much we enjoyed our stay in this hotel and how I spent my best birthday celebration ever! To all the staff of Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik, "Hvala" and see you next time!
